Yesterday was athletics day. We competed in sprints, high jump, long jump, shot put, discus and house relay. In the houise relay Kereru won. First my year did discus, second we did sprints, then we did high jump, arferthat, shot put then finally long jump. I don’t think I placed in anything. yesterday was really fun though.
Today we went to Te Ahu and tried out lots of different things including silks, juggling, spinning plates, flower sticks, skipping and a free sausage sizzle. My favourite thing was skipping and aerial silks. I did skipping with my friends. I was able to do a series of aerial movements called the butterfly and go upside down. On the ride there and back we sang along to school.
Paris
Me and Thea grabbed out tickets and calmly walked to the plane. We sat in our business class seats and soon after we took off. 23 hours and 59 minutes later we landed in Paris.
As soon as we landed We ran to the Patisserie and bought two croissants and hot chocolates they were so good! We walked down the street to our apartment the hotel was very chic it had three rooms; Two bedrooms and one living space it was completed with an outdoor pool both rooms had double had a double bed and an ensuite in the living room there was a TV two couches and a kitchen so after we marveled at the luxurious apartment me and started to unpack.
Afterthat we went down stairs and got a taxi to the Louvre. We spent the whole day looking at all the beautiful art. But the best art piece was the Mona Lisa by far. Then me and Thea were ravenous so we walked down the street and went to a restaurant where I got pasta. After our Delish meal we ordered a taxi back to the hotel and fell asleep.
The next morning we decided to go and see the Eiffel Tower we decided to go to breakfast at a crepe shop down the road. Thea got mushroom crepes and I got blueberry crepes. After the crepes we went to see the Eiffel Tower. As we walked over the bridge to the Eiffel Tower it was spectacular! After we looked at the Eiffel Tower we decided to go to a degustation restaurant.
There were six courses. We had snails for the first course. Thea screamed “yuck” and threw it across the room. Next we had a baguette with Parisian honey. For the third course it was salad nicoise with egg, tomatoes, cucumber, and lots more. The fourth course was Ratatouille. The next course was cheese. The very last course was A scrumptious macaron.
After that we went to the Paris Catacombs and it was kind of scary. At the end of the day we tiredly walked back to our hotel and slept. In the morning we packed up and got a taxi to the airport. We got some breakfast at the airport a last croissant and hot chocolate. Man, I would definitely miss parisian croissants as we boarded the plane I felt exhausted

Yesterday was pet day in the morning we had to wait outside to go into the class and see if we had won anything for our art. When we went inside I went straight to my paper mache head I had won second for my panda bear. Then I went to my milk bottle planter head. And I had got first! Then I looked up at my animal portrait and look across at my origami flowers I didn’t get anything for those. But after we looked at our classes achievements we moved onto Manuka class and so on. In the hall were the small pets there were Chickens, Guinea pigs, Rabbits and Cats. After that we went a watched the dogs. But halfwayb through I had to go help the bake sale because we were fundraising for netball. It was so busy that I didn’t get anything for myself. After morning tea we watched the Lambs, Calves, and Horses. There were also adorable piglets. Then we came back to class and watched a movie for the rest of the day.
A couple weeks ago me and a few other people from my class did a couring comp by Qizzle. We made it really colourful. The Qizzle people are going to send us a prize hopefully.
On Tuesday it was cross country The 11 year old girls had to 3 big laps (3 kilometers). Soon after we got there it was the 5 and 6 year old race so me and my friends watched but then it was our turn so we waited for the 11 year old boys to finish then it was finally our turn it seemed very long but Norah came 1st and Ariya came 2nd. When I finished I got a choc bar some lollies and a sausage but by then it was time to go. So I hopped back on the bus and we went back to school. When we got back to school we had playtime then free time on our Chromebooks. But then we had to help Whaea Serenity with some jobs but then it was home time. But after school I had swimming. At the end of the day I was real tired.
This week I said”this is fun maths” the maths was designing and writing questions in a form that we will conduct as a survey that we will turn into graphs on a poster. We will record the statistics of our form. I like it because we get to do art on our poster and that I can talk to people about the poster.
Jack and Jill went up the hill,
to fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down,
and broke his crown,
and Jill came tumbling after.
She left without a care,
leaving Jack just lying there.
Jack had passed out,
then a long came a girl named Scout.
When she came across Jack, she screamed,
he was dead it seemed.
But just then he made a sound,
he wasn’t dead she found.
So she kicked him in the shin to double check,
Nope he wasn’t dead she dragged him to her deck.
Then she put a band aid on his head,
but it just bled and bled.
The band aid wasn’t sticking,
Jack was yelling and kicking,
Scout was worried that he had damage in his brain.
So she took him to the clinic,
But by then he was going ballistic.
But the nurse told Scout he was dying,
Scout was sadly crying.
Within hours Jack was dead,
and Jill had no regret.
